knitting
i finished my first ever knitted purse! (pictures coming soon.) i have to line it and maybe add a zipper, i can't decide.
has anyone ever knit a purse and found it to be too stretchy? i want a tight stitch that i wouldn't have to bother with lining...

all my knitted bags have been too stretchy so far! and I haven't been putting a lining in them. I need to learn how to or just try a tighter knit....
Posted by: tina at January 31, 2003 11:39 AMi asked about the stretchy stuff on a forum and was told that "seed stitch" is a little tighter -- i've started a new purse and i haven't gotten enough done to tell if it's stretchy or not.
someone else mentioned putting cardboard at the bottom of the purse, even!!
