last night i went to best buy to go cd shopping. i was alone and took the long way there. i was at a stop light in a bad area of town. a couple cars in front of me. for no apparent reason, the driver of the car two in front of me got out of his car and walked toward the car behind him (in front of me). since the light had changed to green, he looked at them then walked back to his car and got in. i wonder if he was planning to do something stupid or if he was just checking out the back of his car for some reason. either way it kind of freaked me out. i've had friends get car jacked here in town. what would i have done if he had gone at that car in front of me? what would i have done if he had come to mine? that's not anything that has been covered in any self defense class i've gone to.

so, once i got to best buy i ended up forgetting half of what i was there to look for to begin with. but, i came home with four cds still: poe -- haunted, radiohead -- kid a, cibo matto -- viva! la woman, sex & the city soundtrack. i've only listened to poe and so far i like it. it's dedicated to her dead father and has excerpts of his voice throughout it -- from cassette tapes she found of his afterward.
