unrelated stuff: today i had the great fortune of getting a flu shot. me and everyone else in the city wanted one -- from one location. apparently there's this flu shot shortage/delay or something, so the vaccines are slow coming. well, a church in town was shooting for free, so i went over. fortunately i got in before they shut the doors -- guaranteeing that i got a shot. i waited in line for an hour. last year i got my shot on my bday and got sick from it during the weekend. i hope i don't get sick this time. so far, so good. we'll see.
