1. to prep, clean and dry your jar.

2. crumple your tissue paper. then open up and tear small pieces off. there is no rhyme or reason to this, just whatever your imagination allows.

3. brush a section of your jar on the outside with mod podge. place a piece of tissue paper down and apply another layer of mod podge over that.

continue applying pieces at random being sure to cover them with a layer of glue. feel free to overlap your tissue paper -- this is especially nice if you have two different colors, since it will blend to make a new color.

4. after you have finished covering the jar, apply a final coat of mod podge over the entire surface.

5. insert a tea light and enjoy. if you're so inclined, you could fill the jar with wax and insert a wick. lovely gift idea!
