still in alabama. busy. here's some updates.

my ex-roommate's wedding was okay -- mainly it was good to see friends. i caved in and had a piece of wedding cake. it wasn't worth it and didn't finish it. someone made me stand in the group for the bouquet toss, it came dangerously close to me. what's up with that whole tradition anyway?

my friend told me her newborn son has grown to over 21 inches. i have declared the baby must stop growing because i am tired of knitting the blanket i'm making for him. trying to make it at least 36 inches long (have about 6 inches left).

saw the opening of rush's 30th anniversary tour last night in nashville. great music as expected, perfect weather a plus. drum solo worth the trip alone. some photos at left, and i took some video as well (which i'm not entirely sure how to load to my site). all done with my sneaky camera phone.

i've lost 33 pounds on the south beach diet so far in 4 months. i really should just go ahead and buy some new jeans -- all of them are getting a little to hip-hop baggy for me. i had to buy some grommets the other day to add new holes to my belt. i've started feeling somewhat good about myself for a change.
