just over three months, and i've lost 25 pounds. i've got a pretty good grasp on the diet and have been relying on other recipes for dinner. (i've found a lot of really good ones to try from everyday food.) just this week, the new south beach diet cookbook came out. i've looked through it and am excited at the prospect of so many new recipes to try. the ones in the original book were good and easy, and the cookbook version follows suite. it will be nice to have something different to add to the menu.
we hadn't cheated at all on the diet, until yesterday. jon's bday celebration involved eating what he wanted, and that included sandwiches for lunch and pizza for dinner. after eating i didn't think, "oh my god i have missed this!" well, the only thing i did really miss was the convenience of it. but, i'll have no problem going back to living without it. so i guess that's the best thing!
in other news... cravings have been replaced with sugarfree gum. and, it's not exactly a craft project, but i found a new use for cd spindle cases:

Congrats on the weight loss! You give me inspiration! It's nice to have you back.
Posted by: Megan at April 22, 2004 02:54 PMCongrats on the continued diet success! I am impressed by your craftiness--the blanket is very cute. THANKS for the basil article! That was very thoughtful. I made tons of pesto over the weekend. See you at the wedding!
Posted by: Amy at May 11, 2004 01:16 PMglad you got the basil sorted out! thought you might could get something out of the article.
i'm down to 28 pounds now! still a long way to go... i had to go shopping yesterday for something to wear to the wedding, everything i have is too big, or stuff i have that's smaller is way out of fashion.
