this is so wrong on so many levels: flip flop socks. i mean, if your little toes are cold, put on some real socks and shoes.
Yes. So very wrong...

i found your blog via another site, and i thought this was funny ... "flip flop socks" have been around forever, they're called tabi and are from japan. geisha girls wear them with their wooden platform thong shoes. it seems ridiculous, yes, but even more ridiculous is these morons trying to take credit for something that has been around for so long! you can buy them at asian department stores if you're so inclined - which, i gather, you're not. anyway, just thought i'd share! thanks - your blog is fun.
Committed flip flop wearers will wear flip flops no matter what the temperature, that's just a fact. I was just at the pier this morning a fairly chilly morning for South Florida 56 deg. and I saw 2 guys in their 20s wearing their flip flops and scrunched socks, checking the surf. Look around so many campuses and you'll see us *perhaps lazy people with scrunched socks and flip flops, it's just easier and more comfortable than shoes. These things feel really great.
Do I hear you putting those crazy 5 toe socks down? These serve a purpose and feel awesome. As for them being like Tabi socks, you're exactly correct, but I honestly learned about tabi socks a few months ago, I've been making my own Tabi/Flip Flop Socks for 20 years. If I had known we may have created Flip Flop Socks earlier. I'm not a moron for calling them what I choose and using them for something different than traditional Japanese dress. I think we're pretty damn smart. Sorry if they bother you, don't worry they won't hurt you!
