well, tomorrow is d-day, as i think of it. diet day. seriously. we're going to trendy south beach for at least the next two weeks. i've got big plans for the day... day one of bad carb elimination and workouts. i'm starting out with an aerobic regime via my tae bo workout dvd with some light strength training mixed in. wish me luck.
has anyone else had successes (or otherwise) with the whole south beach diet?
I'm doing South Beach now, in conjunction with WW.
I didn't lose as much as they say you do in the first two weeks, but my clothes are definitely fitting better.
Did you know there is a low-carb store in L.A. now?
Email me and we can talk further, so I don't totally fill up this box.
I'm trying to get back on the SBD since I was on it before the holidays. Haven't gone back all the way but it still seems to be working.
The first few weeks is where you lose the quickest weight and also where you learn to forget about Krispy Kreme donuts.
The reason why you are supposed to constantly eat is because it keeps your insulin at a certain level. (and when you have hunger pains, the insulin has already dropped).
The Prevention magazine site has some pretty good info. I've also signed up for the newsletter on the official site.
Posted by: snowflake at January 29, 2004 06:55 AMthanks for the tips on prevention magazine's site -- i'll have to go look around there. i also need to read the book completely, i haven't had a chance -- i'm sure it'd help me understand the whole diet. :)
Posted by: Michelle at January 29, 2004 09:02 AMmy whole family has been on it for over a month & my dad cannot stop talking about how great he feels and how much more energy he has. the first two weeks are hard, but you definitely see results...
