i was just looking around at jamie oliver's official site, and was surprised to see a new section devoted to his band scarlet division. if you are familiar with his show, you know that jamie is the drummer in this on-again, off-again band. so, anyway i'm excited to see a music section, which has three scarlet division songs and three others (two sung by jamie and the oliver's twist theme) available to hear.
after listening to "cold out there," i can't decide whether or not jamie lost major cool points for singing a song (based on nelly's "hot in here") with the lyrics: "get on up with your roasted squash, get on up cause it tastes real posh! it's gettin' cold out there, so put on all your clothes..." yes... he did.
Er, I think perhaps I'll not go and listen then! :o
Posted by: sarah at November 11, 2003 02:25 AMThe songs with Jamie singing are joke songs which were recorded for Jamies live cooking shows - not Scarlet Division songs. 'Cold out therre' is a parody of Nelly's 'Hot in herre' and is all about soup!
