i cancelled my cellular service with at&t (after my one year agreement expired) and moved to t-mobile a month ago. my last statement from at&t arrived today and actually stated: "amount due=$0.08"
eight cents...
37¢ to mail them 8 measly cents....
Posted by: pt*:) at October 12, 2003 02:35 PMwell, at least i did automatic payments to them, so i won't have to throw away the stamp!
you think they wouldn't even bother sending out a bill... what a waste! i guess if they have 1000s of 8 cent bills, that's just more money in their pocket.
Posted by: Michelle at October 12, 2003 03:56 PMListen to this:
We got a bill from our dentist for $0.00. We threw it out.
Months pass and then we get a notice that our $0.00 balance bill is being sent to a collection agency.
My husband handwrote on the bill, "Would you like me to send you a check for $0.00??"
We get an apology phone call after that.
What a waste of time, energy, postage and paper!
When I cancelled with SunCom (AT&T sub)--which was a torturous task in itself--they sent me a 7-cent bill. I let them continue to send me the same 7-cent bill for a YEAR, then they sent a nasty note about turning me over to a collection agency. That was a few months ago, and I haven't heard about it since.
