has anyone, or known someone who has, tried the mystic tan? i need a quick, good tan -- i'm dangerously close to being whiter than the bride's gown! -- and i really don't want to do trial and error with the various bottle-tan products. i've talked to one person who know's someone that knew someone else that had good results...
i'm going to check it out tomorrow and likely give it a try. any confirmations or horror stories? i don't want to be an orange freak!
I saw a demo on The View and it looked good, pretty natural.
Posted by: rachel at June 1, 2003 03:10 PMif that's the one they spray on you - my friend had it done and she was extremely happy with the out come. she looked 'healthy' like had a glow. and it wasn't over done. she said she'd even do again.
if that helps.
Posted by: bronwyn at June 1, 2003 03:10 PMyes, you stand in a booth and get sprayed with a lotion... and it all happens in one minute or something, real quick.
i'm glad you've both actually seen people that had it done! as long as i get an even covering and some color i'll be pleased, i just didn't want to have an orange tint! :)
Posted by: michelle at June 1, 2003 03:38 PMPremo results from mystic tan. But I'll tell you, I use Banan Boat sunless tanning cream about once a week or whenever I want to look tan and it's SOOOOO much cheaper. It's not as hard as it used to be. See sunless.org for info on every suless product on the planet.
Posted by: Jenna at June 1, 2003 04:25 PMi've done the mystic tan twice for special occasions, and I LOVE IT. you don't streak, you don't turn orange. it is the best thing for a quick tan. it only lasts for about 7 to 10 days, and after 7 you are really pushing it. it's great. they sell a kit that has a small bottle of mystic tan in it and an exfoliator and an intensifier. well worth it.
Posted by: sandra at June 9, 2003 11:49 AMokay, well... i did the mystic tan and had less than stellar results, although i haven't lost hope. where it did take to my body, it looked really good... but i still had some completely missed spots, that made me look streaky...
did everyone who had good results go in with lotion (regular, not the blocker stuff) all over their body to begin with??
Posted by: michelle at June 9, 2003 02:48 PMThe best UV free spray booth is the Coco Bay which was launched last March 2003 by a campany called Sunquest Tanning Systems, based in Manchester, UK. The DHA solution is a fine mist rather than spray so you don't come out streaky or have that wet feeling. I went on it and was really impressed with the results - because the solution works with your skin type you get a even tan that suits you so you don't look false or orange. I got a rich golden tan colour and had no streaks or white patches. Best false tan booth I've seen so far.
Posted by: Natalie at November 19, 2003 09:29 AMHas anyone used the Coco bay tanning booth. I thinking of opening up my own business doing tanning and was going to purchase a Coco bay. Any opinions and/or advice would be great.
