more fun with polymer clay! i've still got tons of that stuff left from making knitting needle toppers... so i ventured into covering an altoid tin.
What a cute idea, I love it! Another use for leftover clay: you can wrap it around the tops of house keys to identify/decorate them.

Posted by: Michelle at March 16, 2003 03:23 PMWhat a tremendously cute idea! I have a ton of those round Sour Altoid tins sitting around that I haven't figured out what to do with yet.
Have you tried this with the AOL tins, or do you think they might be too thin?
Posted by: Jenn at March 19, 2003 07:59 PMjenn: i have seen a few aol tins covered in polymer -- so it's do-able. i'm looking at one of those tins right now and it seems thin, but looks like it would be possible -- maybe just cover the sides in a skinny rope instead of trying to smooth it down flat?
Posted by: Michelle at March 19, 2003 10:35 PMI think I'll do what you suggested--just a thin rope. And I'll add feet to the bottom to kind of give it some more elevation.
Thanks for inspiring!
Posted by: Jenn at March 20, 2003 01:25 PMThis was such a neat idea! If was a little frustrating at first but once I got into the grove of it - I couldn't stop. =) I just love your site, it's so easy to read! Thanks!
