we got a cool tin cd case -- one of those annoying aol "free trial" cd's -- in the mail. i'm trying to figure out some way to recycle the tin, and in the meantime i ran across this site called no more aol cd's. they're collecting unwanted aol cd's to send back to aol and so far they have over 50,000. anyway, here's a cool picture of the ones they've collected, all strung together
I think there have been threads on project ideas for the aol tins on get crafty, in the discussion area glitter. Search on aol tin in the discuss crafts area. I've been strong enough to through them away, so far, but it's tempting!
Posted by: Anita Rowland at August 12, 2002 08:27 AMi didn't even think of checking get crafty -- thanks for mentioning it! i know there has got to be something useful for that tin (and some trendy way to decorate it).
Posted by: michelle at August 12, 2002 01:09 PMAt the risk of sounding like a total idiot...I have no clue what an AOL tin is. Do the cds come in tin cases now? Maybe you could do some Mod podge on it.
Posted by: Faith at August 14, 2002 11:14 AMyes, they're really thin rectangular-ish cases with an incredibly ugly design on them. from what i've found, most people mod podge them -- i'm going to try that.
