everybody seems to go crazy over music in commercials on television. particularly all the car ads featuring snappy beats. (hello, mitsubishi!)

this site, (the now defunct) tunespotting, features "an online resource for identifying songs and artists featured in television commercials and movie previews."

while, i didn't find what i was looking for, they do have a lot of stuff. i really like that there is a search feature by product, company or music style.

at least volkswagon got a clue, and are selling a compilation cd of some of their popular ad songs.
