so i have to confess that i got nsync's new cd that came out this week. my friend amy called me to make sure she "wasn't the only loser" out buying it. we're purely victims of growing up with new kids on the block -- it's in us to *love* good boy bands. :)
i got my pictures developed from my week in tennessee, courtesy of wal mart's one hour service (which took actually around 20 hours). i forgot that kristina's bachelorette party was on the film too, so there's that and wedding stuff. unfortunately, the second of the disposable cameras i used did not turn out well. it had this funky flash feature on it (you had to remember to press a button before you snapped); all the other disposable cameras i've bought before had auto-flash. half of my pix are grainy and greenish looking. major suck. i mentioned posting them here, but i doubt that will happen.

i haven't died. i'm still around.
one of my best friends got married saturday, in tennessee, so i moved up there for a week to keep her sane. we had lots to take care of, and i wish i got to take her honeymoon cruise too, b/c we all need a vacation. pictures coming soon.
i need to wish my youngest brother a big happy birthday! david turned 29 on saturday. and mom had a bday too last thursday, i'm not sure how old she is right now. oh, and buddy the dog turned two on friday.

i haven't really checked this site out too much, but it looks like it's got potential. it's a movie review site that takes several reviews and combines their ratings to get a general overview: check the grid.

do you have an apple g3 powerbook - shipped between may 1998 and march 2000? you might have a fire hazard brewing.

is it just me, or does that new levi's "low rider" jeans commercial scare you? (you know, the one with diana ross's "i'm coming out" song and the singing belly-buttons.)

brother. boat. highway. police. 1100 news.
a few days ago, my oldest brother was stopped at a red light on a highway in chattanooga, tn. the light turned green and he began to drive on. "snap!" he looked in the rear-view mirror and saw the boat he'd been towing rolling back, away from his truck, off the trailer and into the road.
quick-thinking boy he was, he immediately dialed 911 and proceeded to report the mishap. meanwhile, he investigated the damage -- straps that once held secure had broken and one ski boat was toppled over on its side lying in the middle of the highway. the police arrived with no answers as to how to get the boat back onto it's trailer. the local news happens to drop by to tape the bizarre scene. the boy decided it was time to call the boat maintenance shop he just visited to find out their suggestion for getting the boat off the road.
boat shop people arrive, and with the help of my brother (and assuming the police) they leveled the boat back up right and lifted it back onto the trailer. fiasco over. the news, that night, airs the event as one of it's top stories... and jokes that it looked like a drought hit the highway. i wish i could have been there.
