tonight i went to see the movie "moulin rouge." i really liked it. (despite the fact that the theatre was uncomfortably warm and i got a little dizzy during one musical number) ewan mcgregor's voice is amazing and nicole kidman's is equally pretty decent -- much to my surprise. i loved all the music -- a bunch of 80s/90s songs, how clever! and the story reminded me exactly of "shakespeare in love." it was pretty to look at too, on screen -- the colors and images. and the scenes of paris (have i mentioned that i'm in love with paris now, since my trip??) were so beautiful.
