i love my slip-on skechers. they're my solution to being too bothered to tie laces. but occasionally, i'll notice a foul stench emitting from my shoes. i'll pull my foot (and shoe) up to my nose puzzled, and i can't find any notable smell... but it's there... somewhere. i have become quite fond of wearing my scoots without socks. (i doubt that helps the situation any.)
i used to laugh at foot odor. while studying in london, i lived on the sixth floor across from elizabeth and jeanne. most days i'd walk up the stairs and immediately be greeted with a foul odor in the air. there sat elizabeth's shoes, outside her doorway, unwelcome in the room by jeanne. it was the worst scent imaginable, but we all laughed (along with elizabeth) over it. sometimes we'd even make her stick them out on the fire escape.

use odor-eaters."
i'm not going to start sticking my shoes outside, and i don't want to throw them away. coincidentally today i saw a blurb for the "odor eaters" web site. fate, or what?? the smelly feet gods must be trying to tell me something. at least i didn't get a postcard (shown above) on their site from someone. (and is it just me, or does the "sole-man" look like a jogging peanut?)
