happy fat tuesday (a day late). did you throw beads at strangers or flash passing cars? me either. but, in honor of mardi gras -- since i am half cajun or something -- i attempted to make my own king cake this afternoon. it almost worked.

i'm sleeping horribly again, for about a week now. i am dreaming in this very intense way, very vivid -- like i am living my dreams or something. and i'm having several different dreams within one night -- nightmares and regula dreams. both types of dreams are making me wake up and unable to go back to sleep for awhile. or else they stress me out so much that i wake up confused as to whether or not they really happened.

annoying phone calls from strangers trying to sell you something? this is a direct email from my best friend amy:

I just got an address you may find useful. Discover Card gave this address to me when I asked that my name be taken off their phone list. The representative said that my name would be removed from Discover's list, but a letter to the following address would take care of other callers.

If you would like to be placed on the national "do not call" list, send a letter requesting removal from the call list. Include your name, address, and phone number. It takes a few weeks to process but should be worth the couple of minutes it takes to write a letter.

i wonder if a letter would really work? surely it wouldn't result in more calls...

the weather here has been amazing the past couple days... despite the wind, it's almost like spring weather -- sunny, clear skies. it makes me want to go to the beach.

what does quidnunc mean, anyway?

an interesting site i saw featured on the news the other night -- geocaching.com. people pack a box full of goodies, provide latitude/longitude and leave the box somewhere. i think it's cool and there's actually one here in huntsville, but apparently the box has been raided of its contents. bummer.

tonight i went to see "miss congeniality" with my friend missy. the movie was amusing. i liked the pageant parts b/c it reminded me of my old dance recitals. sandra bullock was good at pulling off the whole clumsy beauty queen thing, but she's really the only good thing about the movie.
