will this election mess ever get straightened out? last i read, gore was trailing bush by a couple thousand votes in florida. that place is a wreck -- with the controversy over the screwy ballots and having to recount everything. what a mess! i stayed up until 4 am last night watching cnn's coverage of the whole event.

i usually don't care about politics, but i'm pretty passionate about presidential elections. this time though, i was very passionate about voting for a change to alabama's constitution. amendment two was against inter-racial couples marrying. we had the opportunity to vote for a change. and it won. i'm not involved in an inter-racial relationship, but i still think it's incredibly stupid that people are still prejudice about those kind of things. my parents' generation still think that way i guess... i'm glad that i've grown up around a more open-minded generation. Voting to ban this law is a really big step (forward) for my state.
